Cereal bars with oatmeal, figs, and lemon |
Ingredients:
- 200 g of whole oatmeal.
- 3 lemons (juice and zest).
- 1 vanilla pod.
- 10 dried figs.
- 8 tablespoons of agave syrup.
Preparation:
Cooking: 20 minutes - For: 8 People
- Cut the dried figs into small pieces. Split & scrape the vanilla pod to collect the seeds.
- In a bowl, combine the oatmeal, fig pieces, and vanilla seeds. Then add the lemon juice, the grated zest, and the agave syrup. Mix everything until you get a kind of dough. Let sit for 10 minutes at room temperature so that the oatmeal swells.
- Pour the preparation 1 cm thick into small baking squares or rectangles placed on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Tamp well with a spoon. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes of cooking, until the bars are lightly golden.
- Let them cool before storing them in an airtight box.
